Ihrig, Kiyono Nurseries, Knap Hill Nursery, Layritz Nurseries, Lem's Nursery, Lindo Nursery, "Longview," Peter Milan of Toichi Domoto Nursery, Guy G. Nearing, R. Gill & Son, R. Wallace & Company, Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, Royal Horticultural Society, Semmes Nurseries (formerly Kiyono Nurseries), State Flower Nursery, the United States Dept. of Agriculture, the National Park Service, W. Parker and Sons Nursery, and Wight Nurseries. Of interest is a letter, 1942 February 9, from Semmes Nurseries of Crichton, Ala., successor to Kiyono Nurseries, explaining that the operators are loyal Americans and that no income or profits from the business will benefit enemy aliens. Other topics discussed briefly include the difficulty of obtaining and shipping plants during World War II, and plant quarantines.
